What a great first topic to have for my first 5 Minute Friday!
I’m 5′ and 3/4ths of an inch. So suffice to say, I am small. I never really knew my father’s family until a few years ago. I learned that I come from a long line of small yet fierce women.
Growing up I flip flopped on who was the smallest kid in middle school with my best friend. Each of us seemed to alternate being an inch taller/shorter than the other. We knew this because in chorus they positioned you on the stands by size. Eventually we evened out and suddenly there was no more fun in growing up anymore. We worked together at the hotel for roughly 5 years together before she moved to Pennsylvania. The only thing we had in common was our size. Every other feature, hair color, eye color were drastically different. And yet it never failed that guests couldn’t tell us apart. It used to piss me off. Not that there was anything wrong with being mistaken for my best friend… but there was a huge difference lookswise between us…
~Man! 5 minutes goes a lot faster than I thought it would!

Shows that some people are not really observant if they cannot tell the difference between you and your friend. Welcome to five minute Friday.
For a five minute first timer, this was great. Plus, it brought back a long ago memory. My best friend and I looked completely different as well, besides our size. One day we decided that if we switched clothes with each other that my Mom would think she was me and I was her. Although it was very obvious, my Mom played along. So, we thought we had just done the greatest trick ever.
haha! Sounds like you had a really cool mom!
I am so going to join in on this next friday! 🙂 Interesting post for just five minutes!
It’s a lot of fun! There was so much I wanted to add.. but 5 minutes goes soooo fast!
Haha. Cute story. I’m a shorty too!
